Learn how to use Picasa, the award winning software from Google that will help you organise, edit and share your photos

Image Batch Editing

This is a tutorial that many people will enjoy because I am sure people have been wondering how to edit more than one image at once. Whether you are using one or another feature, this tutorial will explain about all of the options that Picasa has to offer, while letting you edit more than one image doing so. First things first, please open up the Picasa software and wait for it to load. Once you have done that, move onto the next step.

Since we are going to be focusing on more than one image, browse through your database of images that you have saved and hold the CTRL button until you have selected all of the images you want to edit. In this particular tutorial, I am going to choose “Sharpen”, since we have already gone over this in a previous tutorial. Once you have selected all of the images you want to sharpen, you will notice blue rectangles around all of the images you have chosen. Please move onto the next step.

You will see a small caption at the bottom of the screen that will tell you how many images you have selected. When you have everything all set, please move your mouse to the top of the Picasa software and click Picture – Batch Edit. Batch basically means more than one, or it could also mean in bulk. Since the Batch Edit button has a >, there is another window that will pop up to the right of it. You will see different options, such as Sepia, Sharpen, and Black & White. We have chosen Sharpen, so click the Sharpen button.

Once you have clicked the “Sharpen” button you will notice that all of the images that you have selected will have turned to their sharpened phase. That’s all there is to do. Good luck and enjoy!
