Export Your Images as a Webpage

Like most image editing programs, you can export your images as a web page so that you can showcase them to the whole world, but it takes some work, so read up so you can do the same. Open up Picasa, wait for it to load and once it’s all loaded and opened up you will see your images, you will then scroll through all of the images that you want to post to the internet. Once you have found them all, please hold down CTRL and point and click all of them so they will all be toggled. You will notice that they are toggled by the blue highlight.

Once you have chosen all of your images, please go to the top toolbar and click Folder – Export as HTML Page. This is where it could get tricky but not too tricky because I am here to explain it to you. A new window has just popped up in the Picasa program so you will have to make decisions here. For each or all of your images, you will have to choose what size you want them as so that the HTML editor can format them that way. You can choose between their original sizes to 1024 pixels, which is best for large monitors, so it’s recommended that you choose a lower resolution as not everyone has a larger monitor.

Next you will want to choose the name of your webpage, since everyone site has a specific name so people can search for you in Search Engines. Just choose a basic name for now. Before you move onto the next step, please go onto your desktop or My Documents folder and create a folder for your webpage, this is where you will store your images so the webpage can go directly to that folder as its source. Once you are all finished, please click next.

Once you have reached the next window, you will see that there is a plethora of templates in which you can choose from. Every webpage needs a unique template and Picasa gives you the choice of a few nice ones. This is your decision, so choose whichever one you want and click finish.

You may have Picasa generate an XML code for you just in case you want to copy and paste the template code to another editor such as Notepad, etc. Anyhow, once you have chosen your template, you will have completed the process to exporting your images as a webpage. Now all you need to do is purchase hosting and a domain name, and then publish your webpage to the internet for everyone to see. Good luck.
