Everyone knows about collages. It’s something we all used to do when we were kids and it’s still very fun. There are so many programs out there that allow you to create free collages, but why would you go through all of the hassle when you can just create an amazing one in a few easy steps? Using Picasa is very simple and making a collage is even simpler. Follow these steps and you will have yourself a professional collage for you and your friends to show off to the world. First off, please open up Google Picasa and wait for it to load up.
Once you have opened up the software, you will be welcomed by all of your images. You may browse through all of your images because later on in this tutorial, you will be using these images to make your collage. What you are going to have to do is hit the CTRL button and leave it pressed while you choose all of your images for your collage. You will know that your images are selected by the blue rectangle that surrounds the image(s). Once you have done so, please move onto the next step.
Next, at the top of the Picasa software screen, you will see a button titled "Create". Click the “Create” button and go to “Picture Collage”. After you have done all of this, a window will pop up after a few moments. This next window will provide you with all of the options you need to create your picture collage. The options that will be shown in this new window are as followed, "Picture Pile", which is known as the Type, "Black Background", which is known as the Option, and "Choose a Folder", which is known as the Location. You may click whichever options you want as the ideas are totally up to you.
Once you click create, your collage will be all set. It might take a while getting used to all of the options that Picasa has to offer, but the learning curve really isn’t that long, maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy!
